IMPORTANT PROVISIONS FROM THE SLOVENIAN FOUNDRYMEN SOCIETY’S PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. The provisions from the Slovenian Foundrymen Society’s Personal Data Protection Policy are based on the provisions of the European law on the protection of personal data of 25 May 2018 (GDPR).

2. The responsibility for the data of the members of the Slovenian Foundrymen Society (hereinafter the Society) and the Society’s business partners (both natural and legal entities) is one of our most important duties. As a result, we undertake to maintain the privacy of all the above listed entities and to only publish or use their data in line with the Personal Data Protection Policy of the Slovenian Foundrymen Society and the GDPR as well as your consent.

3. We are aware that we must provide for the suitable protection to all individuals, companies and institutions and to handle with responsibility and care the wide array of digital information that exist or will exist and that we collect and keep.

4. At the Society level, we maintain lists of foundry event participants complete with names, company affiliation and e-mail address.

5. The Society may keep basic data on members as well as business partners, including name and surname, company affiliation and e-mail address. Such data are collected and kept in the Society’s lists, which are made up of the data collected from the participants of business events, through ordinary mail, phone calls and e-mails. These data may be used in the Society’s news, events or in the promotion of people, companies or institutions.

6. At any given time, you may contact us to check which data about you is in our possession. Furthermore, we kindly ask you to let us know of any potential changes to your data. If you decide to have your data deleted from the lists, please send us an e-mail at drustvo.livarjev@siol.net.

7. All participants of foundry events are recorded in dedicated lists that are made up of the following data: name of participant, company affiliation and country of origin. These lists are only available to the persons who have officially registered for foundry events and are kept permanently by the Society. In the case that a person does not agree with the inclusion in these lists, that person must communicate his or her decision two months before the official beginning of the event.

8. Under no circumstance are personal data accessible to third parties. On the other hand, the Society will only make such data available based on previous additional consent.

9. The Society collects and keeps personal data for the purpose of exchange of suitable information, news and future foundry events.

10. The Society’s officials and office staff are aware of their responsibilities under the GDPR.

11. Our website contains links to other websites of interest. It must be pointed out that, when you use these links and leave our website, we have no control over the safety of such other websites. As a result, in such cases, we cannot be held responsible for the protection during the collection of any additional information in the indicated manner.

12. Our website www.drustvo-livarjev.si uses cookies that enable us to keep track of the number of visitors to our website as well as their behaviour. In time, such data will help improve the website performance.

13. Slovenian foundrymen Society as organizer of foundry events, collects and keeps personal information about the participants on events, that are in the time of a pandemic demanded from the authorities by specific orders.

14. This Policy is subject to periodic changes. In case of important changes, you will receive notification via e-mail. Furthermore, the Society’s website will also be updated periodically.
